Suggestions for the government (2)

  • How about a GENERAL AMNESTY for all but the WORST CROOKS and MISCREANTS, for crimes of a financial, business nature?

    We'll be putting away too many clever and useful people, the bankers, businesmen and effective politicians. They must just be monitored and more closely regulated. Transparency is needed everywhere!

    ArchBishop Desmond Tutu's "Truth & Reconciliation" commission worked wonders in South Africa, and this process could surely have applications in all sorts of human affairs and problems. It's just another "sytem" of justice!
    Temporary only, for now, but maybe worth trying in the longer term with all non-violent crimes, but only first-time offenders.
    Greater surveillance of the miscreants will be needed, but we already have the electronic tagging needed for this.
    Confess and beg forgiveness, and this way you can discover the error or you ways, make amends and correct whatever needs to be corrected, and start afresh, just like all should be doing now!
  • All of us should be working as hard as possible, and for those with greater wealth, to give as much as possible, to be put aside specifically to fund scientific research into replacements for plastics, petrol, gas, all necessary research and development of a technological and medical nature.
    If the Chinese can create their "economic miracle" in 20 years, so can we all, world wide, if we get together in a better way, with a better United Nations and with the open hand (and mind).
    "Where there's a will, there's a way"!
  • With our new wealth (more of which needs to be given, like Bill Gates has done), and as are so many wealthy parents no longer giving their wealth to their children, thus disabling them) we can then go forward to nature, (not backwards - which is to regress, the opposite of progress).
Right now, we've just unearthed some bad, greedy people whose mindset's we have to change, or put away in prison.

Plus of course, we have to stop this spiral into a "depression" and all the greater dangers that this may cause.
It's not difficult- all we need to do is:
    • to stop looking down (into the abyss) and feeling powerless
    • look up, be positive and proactive...solve the problems
    • look down on the problems (as from above, in the sky) and plot the course out of this mess-it's the whole world's problem, and therefore needs a New United Nations, where good practices prevail.
We need our best brains to get these problems sorted.
We need for all our idle businessmen (those with the most to give most of it back (to the world) (and workers), to get cracking:
    • to give us more work, wealth and prosperity
    • to use their great talents (and their products) to enable us to create that wealth necessary to provide for:
    • scientific and medical research
    • helping those in need throughout the world
    • stop the needless destruction of so much of our children's birthright - our own support system, Planet Earth.
Nobody can make so much money without profiteering from other's hard work!

These people must give back what they don't need, to those in need, but also and almost more importantly, to give to scientific and medical research.
Only by going forwards (progressing as rapidly as possible) can we find the solutions to our problems, which we have inflicted on our earth.
None of which, by the way, are intractable. We now have a cleaner environment than we've had in centuries! The fact that we are healthier and live much longer is testimony to that.
All our rivers are now not poisoned, nor do we have dirty fires in our cities, steam engines, and our industry is much much cleaner than what it was. All this takes money, and more money wisely spent is what is needed not less.
Anti-Globalisers-you are so wrong-it is globalisation that has been helping the 3rd world nations, some of whom are now actually beating us at our own game!

Who on earth would want to send us backwards by stopping progress?
There is no statis possible-it's either progresss or regress.

OK, there is the "middle way", of course, but this is one instance where it is not a good option, is it?

Change will happen anyway-it's the only thing that never changes, change is!
For our children's sakes, we have to act now, the greatest opportunity is available for us to take, to renew our vigour and ways.

We have been shown the way...
